What buyers should know about title context — and why independent legal review still matters.

Title is a legal question

A listing page can summarize what the seller or agent says about ownership documents. It cannot replace a title search and legal opinion.

Ask for documents early

Serious buyers typically request available title or registry documents, survey plans, and any known restrictions before making an offer.

  • What documents can be shared now?
  • Has a survey plan been prepared?
  • Are there covenants, easements, or development restrictions?
  • Who currently holds the property?
